Ali Shirazee

  • Started professional career in Pakistan in 1986 working with ANZ Bank, American Express Bank and Bank of America, mostly in the treasury and investment banking areas. 
  • Founded in 1994 and managed as CEO, Finex Securities Limited, an independent financial brokerage firm. As a corporate member of the Karachi Stock Exchange, the firm dealt in listed equities, fixed income products and in the interbank foreign exchange market. Sold the brokerage firm to IGI Investment Bank in early 2006.
  • Established in 2006 and managed as CEO, IGI Funds Limited, an asset management company for IGI Financial Services Group and launched two open-end mutual funds; IGI Income Fund and IGI Stock Fund.
  • Sponsored and established Vector Consulting (Pvt) Limited in August 2008, an independent business and investment consulting, research and distribution company for third party financial products.
  • Acquired 100% shares of a running interbank financial brokerage firm in June 2009. The firm is registered with the Financial Markets Association of Pakistan and brokers deals for banks, financial institutions, and corporations in fixed income and foreign exchange products. Subsequent to its acquisition, the the name of the firm was changed to Vector Capital (Pvt) Limited.

Nasim Akbar

  • Started career in November 1986 with Painewebber Inc, Miami. Subsequently worked with Prudential Bache in Miami, Florida.
  • Moved to London, UK in 1989 to join Shearson Lehman Brothers Inc. and worked until 1992 in Futures & Options market managing portfolios of large institutional clients.
  • Moved to Karachi, Pakistan in 1993 as Head of Treasury of First International Investment Bank.
  • Joined NDLC, the largest leasing company in Pakistan, as Head of Treasury managing the company's liquidity portfolio.
  • Worked as Head of Treasury for Mashreq Bank, Pakistan managing the commercial bank's liquidity and foreign exchange portfolios.
  • Moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2004 and joined Pak National Foods as CFO - a fast growing family business representing various international food brands.
  • Bachelor of Business Administration & Economics, Simon Fraser University, Canada.
  • Masters in Business Administration, University of Western Washington, USA.
  • President of Financial Markets Association of Pakistan (2002 & 2003).
